Critical Study on Corrosion Inhibitors in U-Shaped RCC Beams

In most structural failures, deterioration of reinforced concrete structure is due to corrosion reinforcing bars. Ingress chloride ions and reaction carbon dioxide with the cement paste poor-quality or inadequate cover are main causes corrosion. Corrosion can be reduced by using high-quality providing proper reinforcement. addition, inhibitors used protect reinforcement in order extend service life structures. This research work focused on determining effectiveness under cracked uncracked sections U-shaped beam. The beam concept was this study, which helps develop crack width within 0.3 mm as per IS: 456 code provision. two vertical stubs were stressed generate cracks at soffit Then, beams tested for accelerated along half-cell potential meter calculations measurement.
